I’ve been finger-doodling with Sketches on my iPhone. Thought I’d share this to tide you (me really) over ’til tomorrow, when a real comic gets uploaded.

    My Spoon is Too Big

Don Hertzfeldt has a place in my heart, where normally blood would flow. This is the guy who did that cartoon of the boy asking lots of girls out, getting murdered over and over again by their meanness (you know you saw it). Another cartoon, Rejected, is fantastic and fun. He has a few other cartoons floating around the Internet, but this one is definitely the pick of the litter. My ideal litter, any way.

I got the Wacom tablet about a year ago. All I managed to produce at the time were some terrifying drawings of blobby people things. They cried out that I stop creating digital abominations. In order to silence their крики, I put the tablet away, and went back to my trusty #2 pencil. Also, I was frustrated with such widgetal devices.

A couple of months ago I pulled the tablet back out and tried again. This time, magic flowed from that cheap plastic pen. Or, more honestly, I was having an easier time of things. What you see here is one of the first all-digital drawings I concocted after the long break. I hope that you can see a progression upwards as time goes on.
